Midtown Phillips Update

Dear Neighbors of Midtown Phillips,

It”'s that time of the year again ”“ time for our annual meeting! The meeting will be held on the evening of February 26th at Andersen Elementary School. We”'ll have music, food and community. Most importantly, we will be electing new board members. Do you have an interest in serving your neighborhood? Now is your chance ”“ we need dedicated individuals to step up and serve. If you have issues that you feel are not being addressed in our neighborhood, serving on the Midtown Phillips board would be perfect way to make a difference. We”'re especially in need of people interested in the secretary position and event planning. Our board members and other volunteers are integral to holding events such as our annual Midtown Phillips Festival in July and the Clean Sweep in the fall. We need your voice!

We”'re looking for volunteers to help plan and run our annual meeting. If you are thinking you might like to run for the board this would be a great way to familiarize yourself with what we do. Send us an e-mail; we would love the help. We are also looking for donations in the form of food for the meeting. If you own a business and would like to donate, please let us know.

I am happy to announce that we have now secured dedicated office space in the Allina Hospital complex. I would like to thank Tim Grote and Allina for hosting us in this new space ”“ Midtown looks forward to a continued strong partnership.

I would like to end this update for the Alley by thanking Harvey Winje for hosting these periodic updates from me during my term as board chair. I would also like to thank my board for their endless hard work this year. As my current term as board chair comes to an end, I want to express my gratitude toward the board, our other volunteers and all of our neighbors ”“ together I think we have made a difference, and it has been an honor to serve you.

Thank you,

Dan Wilder
