The Bridging Minneapolis Project partnering with In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre presents The Bridging Festival: hands-on, interactive event east to west on 24th Street- Hiawatha to 35W– site to site co-creating, learning about engagement throughout Phillips Neighborhood.

This festival is for you. Together, we”'ll create this festival moment-to-moment, each step of the way.
Festival Blueprint
- Pre-Festival – Two bikes with Bridging Festival flags will collect Mississippi River and Lake of the Isles water.
- 10am – Little Earth of United Tribes: Water blessing ceremony
- 11am – East Phillips Park: Refreshments and commiserating
- 12-2:30pm – Phillips Community Center: Circle Ceremony, Create Festival adornments Lunch.
- 2:30-3pm – Somali Mall: A tour of this vibrant market
- 3:30-4:30pm – 24th St Pedestrian Bridge over 35W: The bridge was a result of the collaborative efforts of neighbors who suffered because of the freeway; a testament to achievements through collective vision and action. HotB hosts co-mingling east/west water and commemorate Bridging Minneapolis mural panels.
- 4:30-7p – The Center for Changing Lives: live music, healthy food and creation-stations, e.g. storytelling tents, make mosaic planters with Semilla for throughout Phillips, create mural panels to take home, learn about neighborhood projects and resources, check out maps and photos that tell the history of our neighborhood.
