United support of Neighborhood”'s diverse population was the message in this rally on Saturday February 18, 2017, to protest the immigration policies of the Trump administration. The demonstration started in Powderhorn Park where several speakers talked about the policies to be contested and worked with the crowd on chanting slogans. The demonstrators then marched up to Lake Street and down to International Market Square and back. The participants were extremely well organized and respectful of others, not blocking traffic or disturbing area retail but simply trying to get their message heard, that the Powderhorn neighborhood is united in support of their diverse population.
