What is MOVE N”' EAT?
MOVE N”' EAT stands for Motivational Opportunities for Vitalizing and Energizing with Nutrition, Exercise, and Activity Tips. This is a free community program provided through the Phillips Neighborhood Clinic and hosted at St. Paul”'s Lutheran Church.
What kind of events do you hold?
We hold a free exercise class and a free cooking class about once per month to promote health and wellness in the community. We have a wonderful and energetic Zumba instructor who teaches this fun, dance-style exercise. At our cooking classes, we teach people how to cook a healthy meal and then we try some samples. We also talk about nutrition and tips for healthy eating.
Why is this important?
Our vision is for people to acquire and maintain healthy habits throughout their lives. The free classes and community interaction provides a space for people to learn about having a healthy lifestyle. We hope that people will take things they learn at MOVE N”' EAT home and share with family and friends.
Who can join?
Anyone is welcome to come to our cooking and exercise classes! We have child care available at the cooking classes and Zumba is appropriate for all ages.
