Parkside Pathways is open to youth 14 and under
By ADRIAN WATERS
Parkside Pathways is a free group mentoring program designed to support youth under the age of 14 through engaging discussions, interactive activities, and positive relationship-building. Held twice a month, every other Wednesday, at East Phillips Park’s Recreation Center (2307 17th Ave. S.), the program provides a welcoming space where young participants can connect with mentors, explore personal growth, and develop key life skills. Sessions focus on topics such as academics, goal setting, leadership, and overcoming challenges—all in a fun and supportive environment.
Sessions are held from 4:00-6:00 PM, but youth are welcome to come earlier if needed. The next sessions will take place on March 12th and 26th. Youth who participate consistently will also have the opportunity to attend quarterly field trips, offering enriching experiences outside of the rec center. Mentors are trained volunteers dedicated to fostering confidence and resilience in each participant. Whether your child is looking for guidance, a sense of community, or simply a space to learn and grow, Parkside Pathways is here to help!
