the NEW Alley Communications Community Connector!
Alley Communications, nonprofit publisher of the alley, has created a new part-time staff position, the Community Connector. We sought someone who has a close relationship with the Phillips Community, and interests and skills that would support the growth of the alley and its publisher, Alley Communications.

We are eager to announce that after interviewing, Daemeah Karbeah accepted this position and began on June 1. In her role, Daemeah will coordinate with other Alley Communications staff members and volunteers including the Business Manager, Design Coordinator, Editorial Leadership Committee (ELC) and Board. This work will support the deepening, broadening and diversifying of our engagement with community members and organizations. Daemeah will use her skills and expertise to:
- Represent Alley Communications in the community and in various non-profit news networks
- Establish relationships with new writing contributors and deepen the relationships with existing ones
- Develop mutually beneficial relationships with new Community Engagement Partners and Advertisers as well as deepen the relationships with existing partners and advertisers
Please look for Daemeah when you are out and about in the Community and welcome her! Better yet, ask her how YOU might participate in the alley! Or, you can email her at connect@alley.org
The Mission of Alley Communications will be to facilitate communication and exchange of information, opinion, culture and creativity in the Phillips Community through publications, research, public forums, classes, workshops, artistic presentations, the Internet, and other means.
